This was a fun experience as I had never been to White Castle before! While I was eating my slider I read up their history on the wiki page and learned a lot. Them being the first fast food joint in the US is a reason to go but I probably won't go again.
Love my sliders. Only get them once a year. I always look forward to it.
I only eat when I'm in a white castle mood, however I love their chocolate shakes.
Super slow drive through...consistently over 10 min. Come here lots and after this last visit I won't be back. I ask for sliders and they always try to push their cheese. IF I WANT YOUR FREAKING CHEESE, I WILL ASK FOR IT!! Well now I ordered 40 regular sliders and they still put cheese on them!!! Incompetent staff. $50 down the tubes. These people suck. The girl at the drive up window dropped my money in the snow so I had to squeeze out of my door and dig around to find it. Hey girl, cut your nasty nails so you can hold the money...and if you didn't have pink hair, maybe your brain would work enough to not put cheese on everything. I miss the 1990's before they could ruin my sandwiches with cheese. The less options for those Merrillville people to have to figure out, the better. I want my money back.
Very dirty! Almost all of the tables, floors.Not to mention the table bases and chair legs! We were sitting in the corner and the wall had little finger prints of ketchup all over it! The front counter as well. White Castle and cleanliness used to go hand in hand. The White Castle on Calumet in Hammond is the best one.
